Official EPA figures for the United States market will inevitably be lower once real-world highway testing and American driving habits take their toll, but even a conservative estimate suggests this electric GT will actually be capable of long-distance grand touring without forcing the driver into a constant state of battery anxiety or endless charging stops.
The bigger story here is how AMG is navigating the identity shift from internal combustion brute force to whisper-quiet electric momentum. For decades, the entire appeal of an AMG product was inextricably linked to its exhaust note.
